Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced
Database Architect
to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database architecture, performance tuning, and data modeling, with the ability to ensure scalability, security, and high availability of critical applications. This role requires working closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver reliable and efficient database solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

-Database Design & Architecture-

  • Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Define database standards, architecture patterns, and best practices.
  • Develop scalable solutions to support transactional and analytical workloads.

-Performance & Optimization-

  • Conduct performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Implement monitoring solutions to ensure database health and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.

-Data Management & Security-

  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability across systems.
  • Define and enforce database security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Oversee data migration, integration, and transformation processes.

-Collaboration & Leadership-

  • Work closely with application developers to optimize database queries and schema design.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into database solutions.
  • Mentor junior database engineers and DBAs.

Experience & Technical Skills:

  • 6–7 years of experience in database design, development, and administration.
  • Strong expertise in
    PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL
    (depending on organizational stack).
  • Proficiency in
    data modeling (ER, UML, star/snowflake schemas)
    and database normalization.
  • Hands-on experience with
    ETL tools, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and partitioning
    .
  • Experience with
    cloud databases
    (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL) preferred.
  • Knowledge of
    NoSQL databases
    (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) is a plus.
  • Strong skills in
    backup, recovery, and high-availability (clustering, replication, sharding)
    .
  • Familiarity with
    data governance, compliance, and security best practices
    .
