About the Role

Lakhajee is looking for a skilled and passionate Mughlai Chef who can prepare authentic, flavourful North Indian and Mughlai dishes. The ideal candidate should be an expert in biryani (chicken & mutton), rich gravies, tandoori items, and kebabs, ensuring consistency, taste, and quality across all orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare authentic Mughlai dishes including Chicken Biryani, Mutton Biryani, curries, gravies, kebabs, and tandoori snacks.
  • Ensure consistent taste, presentation, and portioning across all dishes.
  • Oversee kitchen operations during shifts and maintain hygienic cooking practices.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team for timely order preparation and smooth workflow.
  • Manage marination processes, tandoor operations, and slow-cooking techniques specific to Mughlai cuisine.
  • Monitor stock levels for raw materials, spices, and masalas; report shortages proactively.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the cooking area, tandoor station, equipment, and utensils.
  • Follow FSSAI and restaurant safety standards at all times.
  • Innovate new menu items or improve existing dishes based on customer feedback.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Mughlai / North Indian Chef (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong command over tandoor cooking, Mughlai gravies, biryani preparation, and marination techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently during peak hours.
  • Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain speed without compromising on quality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8, ₹43,225.85 per month
