MacOS Operations Manager

Join us as a MacOS Operations Manager at Barclays, responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards. To be successful as a MacOS Operations Manager you should have experience with:
- MacOS platform management and lifecycle operations including deployment, patching, compliance, and security hardening.
- Jamf Pro administration and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation, policy enforcement, and custom packaging.
- Incident and problem management leadership with proven ability to drive resolution of complex issues across global teams.
- Strategic planning and execution of infrastructure uplift initiatives, including GPO cleanup, telemetry improvements, and endpoint governance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, controls, and cyber teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
- Experience with Apple Business Manager (ABM) and integration with MDM platforms.
- Knowledge of enterprise security frameworks (e.g., CIS benchmarks, PII compliance, KRI uplift).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive summaries and recognition dashboards.
- Mentoring and team development, with a track record of hiring and upskilling talent across L3 and Infra Ops teams.
- Exposure to AI tooling enablement and product-centric transformation within desktop infrastructure.

Purpose of the role
To lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives.
Accountabilities
- Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals and meet organizational objectives.
- Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritization to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget.
- Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluation and enhancement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity.
- Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development.
- Enforcement of technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
