Sales Executive – Oil & Gas

Location:
Pune, Chakan

Required Experience:
2 – 5 Years of sales/business development experience in Oil & Gas / Energy / Engineering sector.

· Experience in CNG compressors, bio-gas plants, or allied equipment will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification:

·       Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical / Petroleum / Industrial / Electrical).

· MBA in Sales/Marketing/Oil & Gas/International Business will be preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Assist the Sales Manager & Sales Team in organizing, planning, and executing the sales strategy for CNG Online Compressors, CNG Daughter Booster Compressors, and ancillary equipment in oil & gas industry.

· Conduct detailed market research, mapping, and surveys to assess regional business potential, CGD industry trends, and identify new clients (PSU, JV, and Private customers).

· Prospect for new customers through lead generation activities (including cold calling, networking, and trade shows), while maintaining and expanding the existing customer portfolio.

·  Engage with clients at the enquiry stage – gather preliminary information, understand requirements, and coordinate for preliminary model selections.

· Support in preparing and submitting quotations, proposals, and techno-commercial bids (including e-tendering).

· Manage vendor registrations and compliance with PSU/JV/Private CGD e-tendering processes.

· Participate in business development activities including exhibitions, conferences, and client meetings.

· Prepare and deliver impactful technical and commercial presentations tailored to client needs.

· Support aftermarket business by promoting spare parts sales, service contracts, and customer support activities.

·  Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Projects, Finance, SCM) for smooth order execution.

·  Monitor and report on competitor activities, market developments, and customer requirements.

·  Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to commercial terms.

· Work closely with the sales team to achieve assigned sales targets through effective pipeline and funnel management.

Required Profile:

·   Strong knowledge of sales and business development in the Oil & Gas industry.

·     Familiarity with the CG D sector, tendering processes, and PSU procurement practices.

·     Technical understanding of CNG compressors, bio-gas plants, and related oil & gas equipment.

·     Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

·     Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM/ERP tools.

·     Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

·     Strong problem-solving, analytical, and customer-service orientation.

·     Proactive, target-driven, and capable of supporting both direct sales and aftermarket (parts & services) growth.
