Job Title: Head – Information Technology (IT) Location: Bellandur, Bangalore Department: Information Technology Experience Required: 15 years Industry Preference: Manufacturing (Apparel/Textiles preferred) Reports To: Chief Operating Officer / Director – OperationsPosition Summary:Shahi Exports, India's largest apparel manufacturer, is looking for an experienced and strategic IT Head to lead its infrastructure and ERP functions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in IT systems within a manufacturing environment, ensuring robust infrastructure, seamless ERP operations, and strong data governance across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities:1. IT Strategy & LeadershipDefine and execute the IT roadmap aligned with Shahi's business goals. Drive digital transformation initiatives across departments.
Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals across infrastructure and ERP functions.2. Infrastructure ManagementEnsure availability, reliability, and security of the IT infrastructure (data centers, networks, servers, communication systems). Oversee IT asset management and lifecycle planning.
Implement best practices in cybersecurity and disaster recovery.3. ERP Systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics or equivalent)Lead implementation, customization, and maintenance of the ERP system across manufacturing, supply chain, HR, finance, and other functions. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for ERP enhancements and support.
Ensure ERP adoption and provide necessary training to business users.4. Manufacturing IT IntegrationDrive automation and digital tools specific to garment manufacturing processes (cut-to-pack, inventory, production planning). Collaborate with factory heads and operational teams to optimize shop floor technology.5.
Compliance & Data SecurityEnsure compliance with internal IT policies and external regulations (ISO, GDPR, etc.). Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols and controls. Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.15 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and infrastructure management. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
