Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Insurance Agency Operations Specialist to join our growing team. If you have a strong background in agency management systems, ACORD forms, and personal lines insurance, this opportunity is designed for you. The ideal candidate will work closely with agencies, MGAs, or wholesalers, supporting the end-to-end insurance process with advanced technical and operational expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Agency Management Systems (AMS):
- Utilize and manage leading Agency Management Systems, including EPIC,
Applied TAM, AMS360, Ezlynx, PL Rater, and CSR24.
- Maintain accurate and updated information within these platforms.
- ACORD Forms & Certificates:
- Complete and process a wide variety of ACORD forms, including:
- General Liability Certificate of Insurance (GL COI)
- Evidence of Insurance
- Auto ID Cards
- Cancellation Requests
- ACORD 125 (General Application)
- ACORD 126 (General Liability)
- ACORD 130 (Workers Compensation)
- ACORD 140 (Property)
- Ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery of certificates and forms.
- Agency, MGA & Wholesaler Interface:
- Collaborate directly with insurance agencies, MGAs, and wholesalers.
- Support business development and service processes (carrier experience not prioritized).
- Carrier Portal Navigation:
- Efficiently navigate and transact on carrier portals such as Travelers, AmTrust, Hartford, Progressive, Liberty Mutual, and Chubb.
- Submit applications, obtain quotes, and monitor policy statuses.
- Personal Lines Expertise:
- Provide policy support for Homeowners, Personal Auto, and Umbrella insurance.
- Assist in quoting, binding, and servicing policies as required.
- Homeowners Rating:
- Accurately rate and evaluate Homeowners' coverage using appropriate systems and criteria.
- Key Insurance Terms & Compliance:
- Apply a thorough understanding of insurance concepts, including:
- Replacement Cost
- Actual Cash Value
- Wind Mitigation
- 4-Point Inspections
- Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs)
- Loss Runs
- Uphold compliance and industry best practices across all assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Proven, hands-on experience with leading industry AMS platforms (EPIC, Applied TAM, AMS360, Ezlynx, PL Rater, CSR24)
- Strong familiarity with ACORD forms and insurance certificates
- Previous experience working with agencies, MGAs, or wholesalers (carrier experience not required)
- Proficiency in insurance carrier portals (Travelers, AmTrust, Hartford, Progressive,
Liberty Mutual, Chubb)
- Solid knowledge of personal insurance lines: Homeowners, Personal Auto, and Umbrella
- Demonstrated ability to rate Homeowners policies
- Clear understanding of insurance terminology and field requirements
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- High attention to detail and strict adherence to compliance standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting training or onboarding for agency teams
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve process issues quickly
