Overview:

We are seeking a Mandarin Language Expert to support our growing global operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in Mandarin (Simplified Chinese) and English, and will be responsible for translation, interpretation, and communication between internal teams and Mandarin-speaking clients or partners.

This role requires a combination of language fluency, cultural understanding, and business communication skills to ensure seamless interaction and process accuracy.

Role & responsibilities

Translation & Interpretation:

Translate documents, emails, and reports from Mandarin to English and vice versa.

Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, calls, or video conferences.

Communication Support:

Act as a liaison between teams and Mandarin-speaking clients or stakeholders.

Review client communications for clarity, accuracy, and tone.

Operational Support:

Support internal teams (Sales, HR, or Operations) by translating contracts, forms, and training materials.

Assist with documentation, report generation, and maintaining bilingual databases.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure translation accuracy, consistency of terminology, and adherence to company standards.

Proofread content for linguistic and cultural correctness.

Cultural Advisory:

Provide cultural insights to improve communication and business relations with Chinese clients or partners.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in Chinese Language, Linguistics, Translation, or related field.
  • Fluent in Mandarin (reading, writing, speaking) and English.
  • Proven experience in translation, interpretation, or bilingual operations (corporate, BPO, or academic).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and ability to manage bilingual documents.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HSK Level 5 or above (or equivalent certification).
  • Prior experience in an insurance, finance, or corporate operations environment.
  • Familiarity with business terminology and client interaction.
