Position Summary
The Supply Chain Assistant assists the supply chain team with daily tasks such as procurement, logistics coordination, inventory management, and supplier communication, ensuring timely, quality, and quantity delivery of materials to support production plans and project delivery. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and basic data processing and document management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing and Supplier Collaboration
Assist with supplier inquiries, price comparisons, order placement, and procurement contract processing;
Follow up on order delivery dates, shipment status, and communication regarding exceptions;
Update and maintain supplier information and conformity assessment records.
Material and Inventory Management
Assist with inventory monitoring, supporting inventory counts, and material inbound and outbound records;
Track the arrival of key materials according to production plans and provide early warning of potential supply disruptions.
Logistics and Transportation Coordination
Assist with domestic and international transportation arrangements, including communication with logistics companies and preparing transportation documents;
Track shipment status and handle delays, damage, and returns and exchanges.
Data and Document Management
Maintain data related to procurement, inventory, costs, and supplier performance;
Assist in the preparation and organization of supply chain process documents, forms, and reports.
Cross-departmental support
Collaborate with production, engineering, finance, and other departments to ensure that material supply is aligned with project schedules;
Assist in handling daily support matters related to other supply chain teams.
Qualifications
College degree or above, preferably in a related field such as supply chain management, logistics management, international trade, or business administration;
Proficiency in Excel, ERP, or SAP systems is preferred;
Excellent communication skills and teamwork;
Meticulous and responsible, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
Basic English reading and writing skills are preferred (for interpreting materials, contracts, customs declarations, etc.).
Nice to have
Internship/work experience in manufacturing, electronics, machinery, import/export trade, or logistics companies;
Understanding of basic purchasing terms (e.g., delivery time, MOQ, payment terms, shipping methods, etc.).
