The Senior Account Executive will handle end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, GST, TDS, costing, and coordination for a chemical manufacturing and printing unit. The role requires strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, inventory reconciliation, and an understanding of chemical/printing industry processes.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Manage day-to-day accounting entries in ERP/Tally Prime.
  • Handle sales, purchase, debit/credit notes, journal vouchers, and ledger management.
  • Perform monthly closing and preparation of trial balance.
  • Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers.

2. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance

  • Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9).
  • Handle TDS calculations, challans, and returns (24Q, 26Q).
  • Ensure compliance with GST input credit reconciliation.
  • Keep track of statutory deadlines and coordinate with auditors.

3. Manufacturing Accounts & Costing

  • Maintain inventory accounting for raw materials, chemicals, packaging & finished goods.
  • Support production costing, batch costing, and overhead allocation.
  • Monitor stock movement, wastage, consumption reports, and GRN verification.
  • Assist in physical stock audits and variance analysis.

4. Billing & Receivables/Payables Management

  • Prepare sales invoices and ensure rate verification as per customer contracts.
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables and update ageing reports.
  • Process vendor invoices, rate checks, GRN matching, and payment scheduling.

5. Financial Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare MIS reports: sales, purchases, profitability, cost sheets, expense tracking.
  • Support annual financial audit and coordinate with external CA firm.
  • Maintain proper documentation, files, and digital records.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Tally Prime / ERP software.
  • Understanding of chemical manufacturing processes & printing industry operations (preferred).
  • Expertise in GST, TDS, Accounts Finalization.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, MIS formatting).
  • Ability to handle workload independently and maintain accuracy.

Qualification

  • B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance
  • Additional certification in taxation or accounting is an advantage
