Role Overview

The Production Coordinator will act as the bridge between the design office, production floor, and project execution teams. This role requires excellent coordination skills, technical knowledge of furniture manufacturing, and the ability to ensure timely delivery of high-quality bespoke products. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, scheduling, workflow monitoring, and quality checks across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate production activities for bespoke furniture and fixtures across wood, metal, stone, and upholstery divisions.
• Review and understand technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications received from the design team.
• Translate design inputs into production schedules and work orders.
• Monitor daily production progress and ensure timely completion as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with purchase, stores, and logistics teams for material planning and availability.
• Work closely with production engineers, supervisors, and craftsmen to resolve technical or process-related issues.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, finishing benchmarks, and client expectations.
• Maintain production records, reports, and progress trackers for management review.
• Support project teams by aligning factory output with site execution timelines.
• Identify bottlenecks and delays, and proactively suggest corrective actions.
• Assist in implementation of lean practices, cost control, and process improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in bespoke furniture/fixture production or interior fit-out manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking, metal fabrication, upholstery, and finishing processes.
• Ability to interpret AutoCAD/shop drawings and translate them into production tasks.
• Good understanding of production workflows, machine operations, and assembly methods.
• Excellent coordination, planning, and multitasking skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office, project tracking tools, and ERP software (ERPNext preferred).
• Strong communication skills to liaise between factory, design, and site teams.

Preferred Background

• Experience in turnkey interiors, modular furniture manufacturing, or luxury furniture workshops.
• Exposure to large-scale commercial projects like retail stores, hospitality, museums, or healthcare facilities.
• Knowledge of international quality standards and export processes (optional, but an advantage).
