**Role Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise **daily production activities** in the metal fabrication workshop.
- Plan and allocate work to fabricators, welders, and polishers as per the production schedule.
- Read and interpret **technical drawings, shop drawings, and furniture assembly details**.
- Monitor **fabrication, welding, grinding, polishing, and fitting** activities to ensure precision and quality.
- Inspect products for **dimensional accuracy, finishing quality, and adherence to design**.
- Coordinate with the **production engineer and design team** to clarify technical issues.
- Ensure **proper use and maintenance** of machines, tools, and safety equipment.
- Maintain **inventory and material tracking** for metal sections, sheets, and consumables.
- Monitor **powder coating, plating, or paint finishing** jobs when applicable.
- Maintain high standards of **workplace safety, discipline, and cleanliness**.

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in **Mechanical / Production / Fabrication Engineering** or related field.
- **5+ years of experience** in **metal furniture or architectural metal fabrication industry**.
- Strong technical understanding of **stainless steel, mild steel, brass, and aluminum** fabrication.
- Knowledge of **welding techniques (TIG/MIG/Arc)**, bending, cutting, and finishing operations.
- Ability to read and interpret **technical and furniture fabrication drawings**.
- Hands-on leadership with ability to **manage a team of 10-20 shop-floor workers**.
- Familiarity with **powder coating, plating, and polishing processes** preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
