Key Responsibilities:
- Handle costing and estimation of projects, including preparing technical & commercial proposals.
- Conduct feasibility studies, resource evaluation, and cost analysis for customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the design, production, and procurement teams to gather inputs for accurate quotations.
- Review tender documents, technical specifications, and prepare compliant bids.
- Drive sales activities by identifying potential clients, developing relationships, and securing new business.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to close deals profitably.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and provide inputs for strategic business planning.
- Maintain strong client relations for repeat and long-term business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and customer requirements during the bidding process.
- Must Have Experience is dealing with Government Departments.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication, manufacturing processes, or EPC projects.
- Proven experience in costing, estimation, tendering, and sales management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP/CRM tools.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Preferred Background:
- Experience in engineering / manufacturing / fabrication / EPC / capital equipment industry.
- Exposure to handling medium to large-scale projects.
Strong network of industry contacts.
Qualifications
- Experience in Costing and Estimation, Mechanical Engineering
- Strong understanding of Special Purpose Vehicle Manufacturing and Solid Waste Management Equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Familiarity with ISO certification processes
- Proficiency in project management and the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience in client relationship management
