Machine Operator(Glass/Carbon Weaving)

Job Purpose:To operate and monitor production machines for glass fabric manufacturing, ensuring consistent product quality, optimal machine performance, and adherence to safety and operational standards during the assigned shift.

Location is Moti Bhoyan,Taluka: Vadsar,Gandhinagar

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation

  • Operate looms, warping, or finishing machines as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Set and adjust machine parameters based on production requirements.
  • Ensure smooth running of machines and immediate reporting of any abnormalities.

Production Execution

  • Follow daily production plans and ensure output meets quality and quantity targets.
  • Assist in beam loading/unloading, yarn preparation, and fabric inspection.
  • Record production data, machine stoppages, and shift performance accurately.

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct visual and physical checks of fabric during production.
  • Identify and segregate defective material and inform the supervisor.
  • Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness at the workstation.

Maintenance & Coordination

  • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of machines as required.
  • Coordinate with maintenance team for breakdowns or repairs.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report unsafe practices or conditions immediately.
  • Participate in safety training and toolbox talks.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Hands-on experience in loom/weaving/warping/finishing operations.
  • Basic understanding of process parameters and quality requirements.
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in shifts and as part of a team.
  • Awareness of safety norms and shopfloor discipline.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ITI in Textile, Mechanical, or related trade.
  • 2-5 years of experience in textile or glass fabric manufacturing (technical textiles preferred).
  • Experience in operating looms or process machinery will be an advantage.
