Role Overview
We are seeking a
Business Development Manager
to strengthen our inside sales function. This role focuses on generating B2B leads, conducting client outreach, and nurturing opportunities within the logistics industry. You'll be the first point of contact for potential clients, setting the stage for lasting business relationships with our Australian onshore team.
Key Responsibilities
· Make outbound calls to potential B2B clients in Australia to introduce CTA Logistics services.
· Generate, qualify, and follow up on sales leads via phone, email, and CRM systems.
· Understand client logistics needs and communicate CTA's service offerings effectively.
· Schedule meetings or demos for the onshore sales team.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM.
· Collaborate with the Australian team to develop and improve outreach strategies.
· Assist in preparing sales proposals and quotations, when required.
· Provide excellent pre-sales customer service and follow-up communication.
Qualifications & Skills
· years of experience in telemarketing, sales, or customer service (preferred).
· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
· Comfortable working in early morning shifts to align with Australian business hours.
· Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, or similar).
· Ability to work independently and meet KPIs and targets.
· Positive attitude, self-motivated, and eager to learn about the logistics industry.
Preferred (but not mandatory)
· Prior experience in the logistics, transport, or freight forwarding industry.
· Understanding of B2B sales cycles or lead generation best practices.
