The Role: Key Account Manager – Chennai

Join British Airways as a Key Account Manager and play a pivotal role in driving our success across India. You'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate and trade partners, building strong relationships, and delivering revenue growth through innovative account strategies.

What you'll be doing

  • Build deep partnerships with key corporate and trade accounts to maximise revenue and share.
  • Analyse data and market insights to shape commercial strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Negotiate and implement bespoke deals that deliver value for both BA/IB and our partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business, while upselling across the existing customer base.
  • Deliver impactful account reviews, training sessions, and events — both face-to-face and digitally.
  • Act as the voice of BA/IB in the market, ensuring strong collaboration with partners and joint initiatives.

What you'll bring

  • Proven ability to deliver revenue growth through account management or field sales.
  • Strong commercial acumen and confidence in data-driven decision making.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Digitally savvy — experienced with CRM, digital sales, and engaging audiences remotely.
  • Resilient, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
  • Experience of building relationships in a multicultural business setting.

Your background

  • 3+ years in field sales managing trade or corporate accounts or 5+ years in an airline operating environment.
  • Language skills relevant to the market are a plus.
