Role Description
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to join us as Vice President of our Financial Advisory & Accounting Services (FAAS) vertical. In this critical role, you will leverage your deep understanding of client needs and business challenges to develop and implement effective solutions that drive value for our customers. You will have the responsibility of managing a team of AVPs, Senior Managers, and Managers, ensuring the highest quality of client deliverables and operational excellence within the FAAS vertical. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will contribute to shaping strategic priorities and business decisions that impact the vertical's growth and success. Alongside drive strategic financial management with business development to support client success and sustainable growth in a consulting environment. Responsibilities
Financial Leadership:
- Led the finance and accounts team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
Accounting and Auditing:
- Supervise all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring thorough preparation and coordination.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of Accounting Standards and applications of US GAAP, IFRS, IndAS, and Indian GAAP.
- Provided Technical Accounting guidance to the Team members or Clients based on the above GAAP standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting process, including the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor budgetary performance and provide detailed variance analysis.
- Present financial forecasts and strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for executive management and board meetings.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial performance.
- Prepared Financial Models and analytics.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive financial planning and strategic decision-making.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations.
- Evaluate and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Act as the primary financial liaison across departments, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
- Mentor and develop finance staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
What we are looking for:
Educational & Professional Credentials
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CA Inter, CMA Inter/Final, M.Com, MBA Finance, or equivalent.
- 18-20 years in accounting, auditing, and financial management within consulting firms or similarly complex professional services organizations.
- Leadership experience in mid-sized to large consulting or advisory firms.
- Strong expertise in Indian GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, applied to consulting engagements and revenue models.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with consulting-relevant accounting software like SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite.
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint for presentations and financial modelling.
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools to present consulting financial data effectively.
Soft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication tailored to consulting leaders and clients.
- Demonstrated leadership with strong team and stakeholder management skills in a consulting context.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities relating to consulting finance challenges.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask in deadline-driven environments.
