Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic General Manager (Construction Line) to lead overall company operations, guide project teams, ensure business growth, and maintain high standards of performance across all departments. This role involves managing construction projects, optimizing operational efficiency, building strong client relationships, ensuring financial discipline, and driving organizational development. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, deep construction industry knowledge, and a proven track record of managing large-scale projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning & Leadership

  • Develop and execute company strategies, objectives, and operational plans.
  • Lead and mentor project managers, engineers, and department heads.
  • Set performance goals and ensure consistent achievement across projects.

Project Oversight & Execution

  • Oversee multiple construction projects from planning to completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and as per quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress, address delays, and resolve escalated issues.

Operations & Process Management

  • Streamline workflows, improve productivity, and implement best practices.
  • Ensure proper coordination between departments such as Construction, Purchase, Accounts, and HR.
  • Review resource allocation, manpower planning, and site performance.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and vendors.
  • Attend high-level meetings, negotiate contracts, and manage key business decisions.
  • Represent the company in external forums, presentations, and negotiations.

Financial & Compliance Management

  • Oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial planning across projects.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review financial reports, audit findings, and implement corrective measures.

Quality & Safety Supervision

  • Promote a culture of quality and safety across all sites.
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC standards, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Review risk assessment reports and ensure preventive measures are implemented.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager, Senior Project Manager, or similar leadership role in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction operations, project management, materials, and technical standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage large teams, multiple projects, and high-level responsibilities.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred).
  • Master's degree in Management / MBA (added advantage).
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering with extensive senior-level experience (acceptable).
  • Strong understanding of project management software, ERP systems, and MS Office.
