Designation: General Manager Technical
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
As an expert, competent with technical knowledge, hands on experience in execution of works, he/she will be responsible for overall monitoring, contractual compliance and quality delivery of the project.
- Responsible for planning and executing projects, including monitoring and overseeing supervision of construction activities.
- Provides technical support to project teams, resolving technical issues and ensuring that best practices are followed.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (EPC, BOT, PPP, FIDIC) aligning with project, risk, and financial strategies.
- Oversee contract execution, administration, and compliance with regulations, standards, and policies.
- Ensuring that the projects meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and performance benchmarks through site assessments.
- Resolve execution challenges, assess variations, EOTs, modifications and mitigate risks related to cost, delays, financial risk assessment and design changes.
- Handle disputes, claims, assist in arbitration, and implement conflict resolution strategies.
- Provide reports on risks, contract performance, and execution while supporting audits and legal compliance.
- Lead team and carry out quantity estimation and value engineering for economical design.
- Responsible for managing, developing, providing guidance, training, and mentoring as required.
Skills Required:
- B.E (Civil) / M.E in Transportation Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience.
- Possessing 18-25 years of expertise in highway design engineering, project execution, and supervision.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, FIDIC conditions, and infrastructure policies.
Execution expertise in managing on-site challenges, variations, delay analysis and claims.
Proficiency in project management tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
Ability to lead team and handle multi-stakeholder coordination, including government and private sector partners. - Contract Administration, Compliance, Negotiation, risk assessment, and dispute resolution skills.
- Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities along with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
