Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Desktop Team Leader to oversee a team of desktop support engineers, ensuring smooth IT operations, timely issue resolution, and excellent end-user support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical expertise, leadership qualities, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the desktop support team for day-to-day IT operations.
  • Provide technical guidance in troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Ensure timely resolution of incidents, requests, and escalations through ticketing tools.
  • Manage IT assets, inventory, and documentation for end-user systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and higher-level support teams for hardware/software issues.
  • Implement and enforce IT policies, security standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions.
  • Handle VIP users and critical escalations with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Prepare reports on incident trends, SLA adherence, and team performance.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, Networking basics, and IT hardware.
  • Experience with ticketing tools and ITIL framework.
  • Good understanding of Active Directory, user account management, and remote support tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle escalations effectively.

Preferred:

  • ITIL certification or equivalent knowledge.
  • Experience in handling a Desktop Support team in a corporate environment.
  • Exposure to endpoint security, patch management, and VC meeting room support.
