Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced GitHub Administrator & Application Support Engineer with at least 5 years of hands-on expertise in managing GitHub Enterprise environments and supporting critical applications. The role involves administering GitHub repositories, ensuring secure and efficient CI/CD workflows, and providing technical support for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong collaboration skills and a passion for DevOps and application reliability.

Responsibilities:

GitHub Administration

· Manage and administer GitHub Enterprise accounts, repositories, organizations, and teams.

· Configure and enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance standards.

· Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and integrations with other DevOps tools.

· Monitor repository health, performance, and usage metrics.

Application Support

· Provide Level 1/2 support for enterprise applications integrated with GitHub.

· Troubleshoot issues related to builds, deployments, and integrations.

· Collaborate with developers, QA, and operations teams to resolve incidents and service requests.

· Document solutions, create knowledge base articles, and train users when required.

Maintenance & Monitoring

· Apply patches, upgrades, and enhancements to GitHub and related applications.

· Perform routine system health checks and performance tuning.

· Ensure compliance with IT security and governance policies.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

· Partner with engineering teams to optimize workflows and improve developer productivity.

· Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding issue resolution, system changes, and best practices.

· Support audits and compliance reviews by providing documentation and evidence.

Continuous Improvement

· Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.

· Stay updated with GitHub features, DevOps trends, and industry best practices.

· Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and integration projects.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

· Minimum 5 years of experience in GitHub Enterprise administration and application support.

· Strong knowledge of GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

· Experience with integration tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, etc.).

· Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.

· Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong customer service orientation and a passion for delivering exceptional support to clients.
