About the Role :

- We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in automation testing, scripting, and Linux-based environments. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring software quality and reliability by designing, developing, and executing automated tests for complex software systems. - The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for creating test strategies, developing automation frameworks, performing comprehensive testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using languages such as Python, Perl, or C++ to validate software functionalities.

- Perform functional, regression, system integration, and performance testing to ensure software meets quality standards.

- Execute end-to-end testing for new features, bug fixes, and software enhancements.

- Develop, implement, and maintain test frameworks and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness of QA processes.

- Collaborate closely with development teams to identify, reproduce, debug, and resolve software defects.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, or similar platforms.

- Prepare detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test data, and test result reports.

- Monitor and maintain test environments, ensuring test scripts run reliably in Linux-based environments.

- Identify gaps in the QA process and recommend improvements in test coverage, automation strategies, and workflow.

- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and agile ceremonies to provide QA input.

- Mentor junior QA engineers in automation scripting, test design, and QA best practices.

Required Skills :

- Strong working knowledge of Linux OS for running scripts, debugging, and automation.

- Programming/Scripting Skills : Proficient in Python, Perl, or C++ to develop automation scripts and tools.

- Experience with automation tools and frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing.

- Familiarity with software development and collaboration tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, or similar platforms.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues.

- Understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and automation best practices.

- Ability to document, communicate, and report QA findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable / Advantageous Skills :

- Basic knowledge of IC design or electronics concepts is advantageous.

- Exposure to EDA tools such as Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics is a plus.

- Understanding of ASIC/FPGA design flows including simulation, synthesis, verification, or timing analysis.

- Familiarity with regression automation, continuous testing, and QA metrics.

- Knowledge of test data management, test environment setup, and configuration management.
