Job Summary

As a Purchase Trainee, you will assist the purchasing team and logistics team in sourcing, negotiating, logistics and procuring goods and services required by the company. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement processes and develop skills in supplier management, Material movement , material buying , contract negotiation, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction - Understand the customer requirement, Material and Scope of work , Customer routing offer mails and Customer inquiry handling , prepare documentation, Quotation , Assist for PO making , E way bills , Delivery challan.
  • Supplier Interaction - Search , Choose and Routing to eligible and best supplier, Supplier verification and ability checking, Negotiation, Lead time Management , prepare documentation, Quotation , Assist for PO making , E way bills , Delivery challan.
  • Project Team Interaction - Take PR and Material requirements from project team , Search right supplier , negotiation to best , tracking and continue follow up for material , prepare documentation, Quotation , Assist for PO making , E way bills , Delivery challan.
  • Employee and Office Interaction - Prepare and take PR from office team for internal office material requirements, Maintain Data of office material, follow up.
  • Logistics and Material Movement - Interaction with logistics supplier, tempo , porter. Also you need to visit personally to supplier office, shop , warehouse for material movement, pick and drop.
  • Need to maintain the data , sheets , document for tracking material, payment and maintain records of purchase and expenses.
  • Assist with Procurement Tasks: Support the purchasing team in daily procurement activities, including generating purchase orders, processing vendor invoices, and tracking delivery schedules.
  • Supplier Interaction: Communicate with suppliers to request quotes, confirm order details, and resolve any issues related to procurement.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other procurement-related data in the company's database or procurement system.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate market trends to assist in decision-making.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Help monitor inventory levels and assist in managing stock to ensure availability while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on purchasing activities, including expenditures, supplier performance, and other relevant metrics.
  • Deliverable item evaluation of products like Industrial - Mechanical, Electrical and electronics.
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
  • Continuous follow up Supplier, Delivery team, Customer and peripheral.
  • Superb written and verbal communication and negotiation skills. Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Review quality of purchased products, inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately.
  • Enter order details (e.g., vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
  • Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled. Co-ordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
  • Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.
  • Great organizational and planning skills.
  • Cost Reduction: In this role, you will analyze costs across many different areas of the supply chain to find ways to reduce costs. Renegotiating partnerships and other executive-level relationships is also part of this responsibility.
  • Risk Management: Analysing operations to find ways to reduce risk is an important role of the supply chain executive. Failing to identify risks can seriously damage the company.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.Tech/ B.E/Diploma/Graduate from any stream ( Mechanical, Electrical, E and TC preferred)
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, E-plan , Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with procurement software is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with suppliers and team members.
  • Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Experience

  • Preferred: Previous internship or part-time experience in a related field is an advantage, 6 Months to 2 Year

  • 6 Month Probation Period.
  • 1 months notice period Compulsory after confirmation.

Personal Two Wheeler and Valid Driving license is MUST for this post. ( Company will give petrol allowance)
