Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced
Merchandiser
who has in-depth, hands-on experience in the complete garment manufacturing lifecycle—from
yarn procurement to final stitching and finishing.
The ideal candidate will have worked closely with
factories, manufacturers, and fabric mills
, and will be adept at
pricing, sourcing, production coordination, and quality assurance
across multiple apparel categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end garment production with factories and manufacturing partners.
  • Liaise with
    fabric mills
    for sourcing and development of required fabrics (cotton, polyester, blends, etc.).
  • Manage the complete
    garment manufacturing process
    —including yarn procurement, knitting, dyeing, cutting, stitching, printing, embroidery, trimming, and packaging.
  • Negotiate prices, timelines, and terms with factories and suppliers to ensure optimal cost and timely delivery.
  • Evaluate and finalize
    fabric sourcing
    options based on quality, availability, and price competitiveness.
  • Work closely with the
    design and product development teams
    to ensure the right fit, feel, and finish for each product.
  • Maintain detailed costing sheets, track production status, and ensure adherence to technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify and onboard new manufacturers and suppliers to expand sourcing capabilities.
  • Resolve production issues proactively, ensuring smooth coordination between internal and external teams.
  • Stay updated on
    market trends, fabric innovations, and manufacturing techniques.

Key Requirements

  • Education:
    Graduate in Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, or Apparel Production.
  • Candidates from reputed institutes like NIFT, Pearl Academy, or similar will be preferred.
  • Experience:
    4–8 years of experience in garment manufacturing, preferably in
    Tirupur or similar apparel manufacturing hubs.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Yarn and fabric sourcing (cotton, polyester, blends, etc.)
  • Fabric construction, GSM, dyeing, finishing processes
  • Garment costing and pricing
  • Vendor management and negotiation
  • Design development and sampling
  • Categories Exposure:
    T-shirts, menswear, womenswear, kidswear, uniforms.
  • Skills:
    Strong negotiation, vendor coordination, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Preferred Background:
    Prior experience working with apparel manufacturers or exporters based in
    Tirupur, Tamil Nadu
    will be a significant advantage.
