Job Title: Assistant Manager- Purchase [Domestic]

Location: Gurugram

Experience: 6-10 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Procurement: Develop and execute procurement strategies of intermediates for API Manufacturing in , ensuring alignment with production schedules and regulatory requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers. Negotiate favorable terms and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and intermediates, coordinating with production and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured materials meet the required quality standards and comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the procurement budget, tracking spending and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and company standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field. A Masters degree or MBA is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 6-10 years in procurement within the pharmaceutical industry,

  • Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of API manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and make informed purchasing decisions.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in handling procurement for APIs and intermediates in compliance with GMP and other regulatory standards.
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical supply chain and logistics.
  • Proven track record of cost reduction and process optimization in procurement.
