Job Title: Business Analyst – Data & ReportingAbout the Role

We are looking for a Business Analyst (Data & Reporting) who will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, translate them into data requirements, and deliver actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and KPIs. The role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirement Gathering & Client Engagement

  • Collaborate with clients to understand business objectives, processes, and KPIs.
  • Translate client requirements into clear data and reporting specifications.
  • Act as the link between business stakeholders and technical teams.

2. Data Analysis & Insight Generation

  • Analyze client data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities.
  • Define meaningful KPIs and metrics aligned with client goals.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to validate assumptions and findings.

3. Dashboard & Reporting Design

  • Create mock-ups/wireframes for dashboards, scorecards, and reports.
  • Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, actionable, and business-focused.
  • Work with BI developers/engineers to implement and validate solutions.

4. KPI & Performance Measurement

  • Define the business logic and calculation methods for KPIs.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of KPIs across platforms.
  • Recommend thresholds, targets, and alert mechanisms to track performance.

5. Communication & Decision Support

  • Translate data findings into clear, business-oriented insights.
  • Prepare client-ready presentations and reports.
  • Guide stakeholders on how to leverage dashboards and KPIs for decision-making.

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor adoption and effectiveness of delivered dashboards.
  • Gather feedback and recommend improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and suggest new KPIs and metrics.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of business processes and performance measurement.
  • Strong communication and client engagement skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred).

Preferred Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or BI reporting.
  • Experience in defining KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
  • Exposure to sectors like energy, drilling services, or related industries will be an advantage (optional – you can remove if not relevant).
