Job Summary

At Rop System Inc we are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results, and providing ongoing reports to support decision-making processes. This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis techniques and tools, as well as the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to drive business insights and improve operational efficiency.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough data analysis using SQL, R, Python, and other analytical tools to extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other visualization tools to present data findings clearly.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to define project requirements and ensure alignment with business goals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Implement ETL processes using tools like Talend or custom scripts in Bash (Unix shell) to ensure accurate data flow from various sources into databases.
  • Perform business analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data that can inform strategic decisions.
  • Assist in database design and optimization for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases to enhance performance and accessibility.
  • Utilize VBA for automation of repetitive tasks and reporting processes.
  • Maintain documentation of data processes using Visio for process mapping and flowcharting purposes.
  • Support the team in Agile methodologies by participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role with a strong portfolio of completed projects demonstrating data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL for database querying and manipulation; experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is essential.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for statistical analysis is highly desirable.
  • Experience with ETL processes and tools like Talend is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management principles is beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
