Overview: Our client, a renowned name in the Indian cosmetic industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Sales Manager to lead and grow sales operations for their salon products division. This role is perfect for an individual who is proactive in the market, excels in field sales, and thrives on daily interactions with clients and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Territory & Channel Management:
  • Drive sales performance in the designated territory by managing a network of distributors and front-line sales teams.
  • Achieve annual business targets while optimizing cost efficiency.
  • Conduct regular market visits to understand and address regional needs.
  • Boost sales and enhance brand presence through in-salon activations.

Sales Operations:
  • Implement effective Route-to-Market (RTM) strategies including coverage, productivity, distribution, and in-store merchandising.
  • Maintain system and process accuracy.
  • Develop region-specific trade schemes to address unique demands in the northern region.
  • Achieve a minimum of 12x ROI through strategic sales initiatives.

New Product Launches:
  • Oversee the execution of new product launches and initiatives in the market with exceptional on-ground support.
  • Build and lead a team comprising Business Development Executives (BDEs), Technical Trainers, and Go-To-Market (GTM) specialists in the northern region.

Customer Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key account salons and exert influence over the standalone salon market.
  • Drive professional and in-salon retail business through effective relationship management and joint business planning.

Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing and trade marketing to leverage market opportunities, drive projects, and manage business plans and budgets.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Post-graduate degree from Tier 1/Tier 2 universities.
  • Experience: 4-7 years in Sales/Trade Marketing, with a preference for experience in the Professional Beauty industry and the North region.
  • Skills:
  • Strong planning, project management, and commercial acumen.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and execute tasks hands-on.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, customer service, finance, and HR.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading teams and driving on-ground sales efforts.
