A UK-based Finance Analytics Automation Platform is Looking for:****
ROLE

We''''re looking for an experienced Contract Full Stack Developer for a project-based role to

help us integrate new AI functionality into our product. This role will collaborate closely

with product managers, designers, and data scientists to design, build, and deploy new

AI-enabled capabilities into our existing stack. Your primary mission will be to build LLM

integration (like OpenAI and GCP Agents) to our existing platform, working on both the

React/TypeScript frontend and the Django/Python backend. This is a hands-on gig focused

on building and deploying specific AI-powered features.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead the integration of AI/ML models and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, GCP Agents)

into our core product workflows to enhance functionality

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI-powered features, working across our

stack (React + TypeScript frontend, Django + Python backend)

• Build and consume RESTful APIs with Django Rest Framework to expose AI-driven

features to the frontend.

• Collaborate with product and CTO to translate AI concepts into scalable,

production-ready services.

Our Tech Stack

You'll work primarily with:

• Hosting: Heroku, AWS (static content), Auth0 (auth)
• Frontend: React + TypeScript, React Context, SWR
• Backend: Python, Django, Django Rest Framework, Celery
• Database: PostgreSQL, Redis (cache, broker)
• CI/CD & Repo: GitHub (Actions), Source hosted on GitHub
• Testing: Pytest (backend), Playwright (frontend)
• Monitoring & Scaling: New Relic, Sentry, Judoscale
• Dev Tools: Cursor

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Developer (or similar role).
• Strong proficiency with React + TypeScript and Django/Python.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs at scale.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models into web applications (via APIs, SDKs, or custom

deployments).

• Familiarity with cloud-based hosting (Heroku, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of Celery for background jobs and Redis for caching/task queues.
• Solid foundation in relational databases (PostgreSQL) and performance optimization.
• Test-driven development mindset with tools like Pytest and Playwright.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Objective
:

Allow users to generate editable, presentation-ready text commentary — with selectable tone and

optional context — directly inside the existing ScaleXP Presentations.

Core Requirements

• Custom Prompts & Tone

○ Tone Selector (dropdown) such as

■ Board-level (formal, strategic, concise)

■ Internal team (practical, operational)

■ Investor-friendly (growth-oriented, polished)

○ Context Field (text box):

■ User can add guidance such as

"Focus on SaaS KPIs and variances vs budget"

"Explain cash-burn improvement month-on-month"

○ Both fields passed to AI request.

• AI Text Generation

○ Service connects to ScaleXP back end for commentary.

○ Sends data to LLM endpoint (OpenAI).

○ Receives narrative paragraphs describing trends, variances, and insights.

○ Initial length: 2-3 sentences per page

• UI Panel in Report Builder

○ Add "Generate Commentary" button beside each page with a text box

○ When clicked, a side-drawer or modal shows:

■ Tone dropdown

■ Optional context field

■ [Generate] button

○ Shows loading state → returns generated text which can then be edited

○ Users can edit text inline (bold/italic/bullets).

○ System saves edits along with the slide.

• Integration with Existing Slides

○ Commentary is inserted automatically into the corresponding slide(s) in ScaleXP's

existing presentation builder.

On export (PowerPoint / PDF), text appears as a standard text box

Technical Notes

• Backend:
• AI Layer: build a micro-service that formats input prompt, calls LLM, returns structured JSON

with paragraphs.

• Security: ensure no PII is included; send only aggregated metric values + prompt.

Editing Persistence: commentary edits stored in DB alongside slide metadata (e.g., slide_id,

commentary_text, last_modified).

MVP Deliverables

• Tone dropdown + context text box.
• Generate Commentary button.
• Inline RTE block with user-editable text.
• Text saved to slide & included on export.

Acceptance Criteria

• User can pick a tone, add context, click generate → commentary appears below selected chart.
• Commentary is editable and persists on save/export.
• Exported slides show existing charts with and the final edited commentary text.
