Job Objective
Be responsible for the Business Development elements related to Ocean Opt business specifically related with Emissions Management and focusing on CII, EU ETS, & Fuel EU. Develop, implement and maintain standards, tools, policies, processes, and systems in the fields of business development, client relations, and sales with the objective to support further sustainable growth of business and increase market share and profitability. Support the achievement of business growth objectives through the identification, evaluation, planning and progression of prioritized opportunities within existing and adjacent market segment. Using & Managing of Social media profile of company will be an added task.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and support Company's strategies in fields of Business Development, Client Relations and Sales. Propose innovative solutions to continuously improve the competitiveness of Ocean Opt and customer satisfaction.
- Manage, monitor and coordinate Ocean Opt's overall Business Development efforts in partnership with Managing Directors. Identify and address inefficiencies and shortcomings to maximize Ocean Opt sales potential.
- Manage and further develop the centralized market through competitive intelligence to support lead generation and other business development activities in a targeted manner.
- Support the efforts of team in developing convincing, accurate and high-quality proposals as well as other relevant material and information.
- Analyze the structure, capabilities, and service offering of Ocean Opt competitors and monitor their performance. Identify improvement potential and make information available to the organization to adapt.
- Support cross selling of other Schulte Group services by identifying business development potential systematically and drive internal coordination. Fully utilize information generated from market intelligence to support all Schulte Group business units.
- Develop, implement and maintain a system for the efficient and effective management of client relations ensuring that marketing and sales efforts of Ocean Opt and other business units are appropriately coordinated, harmonized and compliant to ensure that all information and data with respect to existing and potential clients can easily be retrieved, analysed and disseminated to all parties concerned.
- Further develop client relationship management capabilities and service level through the development and implementation of tools and methodology.
- Preparation of Proposals to ensure quality, accuracy and reasonable competitiveness provided to customers. Furthermore, competition analysis, service pricing awareness and regular information sharing and effective communication is must.
- Demonstration of tools and products to clients. Assistance in framing and negotiations of Contracts with clients.
- Assistance to the MD on Social media presence, regular updates, hosting events, participating in webinars/seminars, participation in events and representing Ocean Opt. Effective planning of participation at various events round the year, is needed.
- Work on targets as proposed by the management for onboarding various clients and Competitor analysis
- Any other assigned tasks as given by the MD for general development of Business.
Requirements
Education
- At least 5 years' experience in a senior sailing position relative to vessel types and courses.
- And /or at least 2 years in a shore role, ideally within the maritime industry.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years in a related role in Business Development and Marketing.
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar Business Development lead role.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Great presentation skills including effective use of Tech tools.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in business development and customer management.
- Very good negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of the local /regional maritime market conditions.
- Very good people management skills
- Knowledge of the maritime and local legal framework e.g. employers' obligations, recruitment prerequisites etc.
- Knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles.
- Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and competitors in the market
- PC Literacy.
- Fluency in English.
