During the pandemic, HealthyChef supported communities by providing meals to doctors and patients, reinforcing its commitment to health and nutrition. Currently, with over 100,000 customers served across three locations in Bengaluru, HealthyChef is on a mission to provide fresh, nutritious food and support individuals with special dietary or health needs, aiming to expand nationwide and globally.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef based in Bengaluru. The Sous Chef will assist in food preparation and cooking, manage kitchen operations, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality meals. They will oversee food safety, manage inventory, and work closely with the Head Chef to develop and innovate recipes tailored to nutritional requirements. The role also includes training kitchen staff and ensuring all meals meet HealthyChef's standards for quality, cleanliness, and presentation.

Qualifications

  • Strong culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
  • Experience with menu planning and creating recipes, particularly for healthy and customized meals
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene, and kitchen operations
  • Leadership and communication skills to manage and train kitchen staff effectively
  • Organizational skills for inventory management and maintaining kitchen efficiency
  • Adaptability and creativity to develop recipes aligned with client health requirements
  • Professional culinary training or relevant certification is a plus
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen or similar environment is preferred
