Were expanding our engineering team and looking for skilled WordPress Developersfrom strong juniors to seasoned experts.

Role Overview

Youll own end-to-end WordPress development: custom themes/plugins, performance, SEO, integrations, and secure deployments. Youll collaborate with design, content, and product teams to ship fast, reliable, and beautiful websites.

What Youll Do

• Build and maintain custom themes and plugins (Gutenberg/block editor first).
• Implement responsive UI from Figma/Design specs with pixel-perfect quality.
• Create custom post types, taxonomies, and flexible content models (ACF/Block patterns).
• Integrate third-party services: payment gateways (Stripe/PayPal), LMS (e.g., LearnDash/TutorLMS), CRM, email and marketing tools.
• Optimize performance (Lighthouse/Core Web Vitals), SEO (schema, sitemaps), and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA).
• Ensure security (hardened configs, least-privilege, OWASP basics) and reliability (backups, monitoring, rollback plans).
• Configure hosting stacks (cPanel/Plesk, NGINX/Apache, Cloudflare, CDNs, caching with Redis/Varnish).
• Set up CI/CD and staging workflows; manage version control with Git/GitHub.
• Troubleshoot, document, and continuously improve code quality.

Tech You Likely Use

• WordPress Core, PHP 8+, MySQL/MariaDB, Composer, WP-CLI
• Frontend: HTML5, CSS/SASS/Tailwind, JavaScript/TypeScript, Gutenberg/Blocks
• Tooling: Git/GitHub, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), Docker (nice to have)
• Performance & SEO: Core Web Vitals, image pipelines (WebP/AVIF), schema/structured data
• Optional/Bonus: WooCommerce, Multisite, Headless (e.g., WP + ), GraphQL/REST, GA4/GTM, Sentry

Qualifications

• Demonstrable WordPress development skills (portfolio, GitHub, or live sites).
• Solid PHP and modern JS fundamentals; ability to write clean, reusable code.
• Experience building custom themes/plugins and working with block editor.
• Understanding of performance, security, and accessibility best practices.
• Comfortable collaborating in a remote, async team and meeting deadlines.

Open to all levels. If you can build quality WordPress solutions, we want to see your workdegrees are optional.

Nice-to-Have

• WooCommerce at scale (checkout optimization, subscriptions).
• Headless WP with or similar.
• Experience with LMS products and booking flows.
• Automated testing (PHPUnit/Playwright) and observability (Sentry/LogRocket).
• Multilingual setups (WPML/Polylang) and multisite networks.
