We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer with proven expertise in building websites on WordPress efficiently, along with strong knowledge of eCommerce architecture, plugin customization, and site maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for full-stack WordPress development from concept through deployment, ensuring seamless user experiences and top-tier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, Customize, and Maintain WordPress Websites
  • Build responsive, scalable websites using custom themes and plugins.
  • Work across the front-end and back-end of WordPress-based projects.
  • WooCommerce & eCommerce Site Development
  • Set up WooCommerce stores, product catalogs, payment gateways, shipping options, and tax configurations.
  • Customize cart flows, product pages, and user experiences.
  • Plugin Development & Debugging
  • Create, customize, and debug WordPress plugins to meet project-specific needs.
  • Ensure plugin compatibility with theme and core updates.
  • Implement Website Functionality Using Custom Code
  • Extend WordPress functionality with PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, and third-party APIs.
  • Develop custom shortcodes, post types, and taxonomies when needed.
  • Optimize Website Performance
  • Improve site speed and scalability using caching, code optimization, and image compression.
  • Conduct performance testing using GTmetrix, Google PageSpeed Insights, or Lighthouse.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Website Issues
  • Handle bug fixes, broken layouts, plugin conflicts, and other critical errors.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing WordPress sites.
  • Conduct Regular Website Backups & Security Checks
  • Use backup tools (e.g., UpdraftPlus, BackupBuddy) to automate and manage backups.
  • Implement WordPress security best practices and resolve vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate Across Teams
  • Work with UI/UX designers, marketers, and other developers to ensure design-to-dev handoffs are seamless.
  • Participate in project planning, sprint meetings, and feedback cycles.
  • Cross-Browser & Responsive Design
  • Ensure all websites function perfectly across devices and major browsers.
  • Third-Party Tool Integration
  • Integrate CRMs, email platforms, analytics tools, APIs, and third-party services with WordPress.
  • Maintain Technical Documentation
  • Keep clear documentation of development workflows, project changes, plugin usage, and custom functions.
  • Stay Updated with Trends
  • Regularly explore new tools, frameworks, and updates within the WordPress ecosystem.
  • Suggest and implement modern approaches for better development efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of proven hands-on experience in WordPress development.
  • Strong knowledge of WooCommerce, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
  • Experience with popular page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
  • Familiarity with tools like Git, cPanel, FTP, and staging environments.
  • Deep understanding of responsive design and website optimization techniques.
  • Proficient with plugin and theme development, debugging, and customization.
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles and technical SEO implementations.
  • Experience managing website backups, security plugins, and firewall settings.
