Job Description
Skills :

  • Experience with Amazon API Gateway to build and expose secure APIs.
  • Knowledge of AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) for HTTPS certificates.
  • Hands-on experience securing APIs with JSON Web Tokens (JWT) or mutual TLS (mTLS)
  • Experience working with external vendor APIs over HTTPS.
  • Strong experience with AWS Lambda (request validation, retries, error handling, dead-letter queues)
  • Experience tracking requests with correlation IDs across multiple services.
  • Hands-on with Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS), preferably FIFO queues
  • Practical experience with Amazon Event Bridge for routing events to multiple consumers
  • Experience with Amazon DynamoDB, including TTL for data expiration and Streams for downstream triggers
  • Knowledge of moving data to Amazon S3 through Kinesis Firehose for efficient storage and analytics
  • Managed secrets and credentials with AWS Secrets Manager
  • Familiar with IAM least privilege security design
  • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerts with Amazon CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray

Nice To Have Skills

  • Experience with OAuth 2.0 and JWT integration for vendor APIs
  • Understanding of rate limiting, throttling, and protection with AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF)
  • Familiarity with VPC networking, PrivateLink, or VPC Lattice for secure service-to-service communication
  • Deep knowledge of advanced API Gateway configurations (usage plans, request validation, mapping templates)
  • Strong observability practices (structured logs, distributed tracing, dashboards, DLQ replay)
  • Practical security hardening experience (WAF rule sets, KMS encryption strategies)
