Position Summary:

The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring adherence to safety standards, enforcing statutory compliance, and implementing HSE protocols at residential construction sites. The role involves monitoring site activities, conducting safety training, and ensuring a safe working environment for all workers and staff.

Qualification: ADIS (Mandatory) + Diploma/Graduation in Civil Engineering

Industry: Residential / Real Estate / Construction

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce safety compliance across all ongoing site activities in residential projects.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and identify unsafe conditions, hazards, or violations.
  • Prepare and maintain safety reports, checklists, permits, and documentation as per statutory norms.
  • Implement and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements, and Risk Assessments.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety trainings, emergency drills, and worker inductions.
  • Ensure the correct use of PPE and availability of safety gear at site.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, near-misses, and prepare corrective & preventive action reports.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to HSE standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Mandatory: ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety).
  • Diploma or Graduation in Civil Engineering (preferred for construction understanding).
  • Minimum 58 years of experience as Safety Officer in residential building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety, HSE norms, and statutory compliance.
  • Ability to conduct safety training sessions and communicate effectively with workers.
  • Proficiency in preparing safety documentation and reports.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced project environments.
