Job Summary:

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring comprehensive regulatory compliance for the organization across NBFC (RBI-regulated), IRDAI (insurance intermediary), and PFRDA (pension distribution) frameworks. The role includes end-to-end regulatory management, business idea evaluation, policydrafting, internal audit support, and regulator interfacing to ensure the business operates within the legal and regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities:

NBFC Compliance (Core Role)

  • Design and implement our comprehensive compliance framework aligned with RBI's Scale Based Regulations from scratch.
  • Lead overall compliance posture for the Company to ensure strict adherence with statutory and regulatory requirements applicable from time to time.
  • Monitor and track overall regulatory updates from RBI, and other financial authorities; assess impact and ensure timely implementation.
  • End-to-end compliance deliverables from NBS returns to statutory reports and event-based disclosures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Evaluate new business models and product designs through a regulatory lens, providing creative, compliant solutions that fuel growth
  • Create and maintain dynamic compliance calendars, policies, and digital registers that scale with our business.
  • Draft and implement SOPs and compliance frameworks that turn complex regulations into actionable processes
  • Identify and assess compliance risks specific to NBFC operations and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Own end-to-end IRDAI Corporate Agent and PFRDA PoPs compliance and ensure seamless regulatory alignment across insurance and pension verticals while maintaining all registration requirements and operational standards
  • Manage timely submission of all IRDAI annual/half-yearly/event-based reports (SP/AV reporting) and PFRDA quarterly/annual returns with zero delays or compliance gaps
  • Coordinate IRDAI and PFRDA inspections, prepare audit responses, compile detailed reports,address regulatory queries, and implement recommendations across both frameworks
  • Review and approve insurance advertisements per IRDAI regulations while evaluating NPS distribution and digital onboarding initiatives from PFRDA compliance perspective.
  • Draft and update internal policies covering Corporate Agent requirements, PFRDA grievance
