The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with a CA (Chartered Accountant) firm and a strong background in general accounting practices, as well as expertise in Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting:Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and general entries. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Prepare financial statements and reports.
GST (Goods and Services Tax) Compliance:Handle the end-to-end process of GST compliance, including filing returns, reconciliations, and data verification. Stay updated with GST laws and regulations, and ensure the company's compliance. Assist in GST audits and assessments, as required.
TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) Compliance:Ensure accurate deduction and timely deposit of TDS as per applicable laws. Prepare TDS returns and filings. Maintain records of TDS deductions and provide necessary certificates to vendors.
Financial Analysis:Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve financial performance. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for financial efficiency.
Auditing:Support the internal and external audit processes. Prepare audit schedules and assist in the resolution of audit findings.
Documentation and Record-keeping:Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documents. Ensure all financial documents are readily accessible for reference and auditing.
Compliance and Reporting:Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, taxation regulations, and financial reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with all statutory financial reporting and tax requirements.
