Job Title: Buyer - Indirect Procurement

Location: Chennai

Department: Procurement / Supply Chain

Reports To: Procurement Manager / Category Lead

Only Immediate Joiners Preferred.

Job Summary:

The Buyer Indirect Procurement is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of non-production goods and services (e.g., IT, marketing, facilities, professional services). This role supports cost optimization, supplier performance, and compliance with procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect categories.
  • Conduct RFQs, RFPs, and supplier negotiations to ensure best value.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
  • Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support contract management and renewals.
  • Drive digitalization and process improvements in procurement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in indirect categories.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement tools and ERP systems.
