Job Title: Statutory Audit Associate (CA Fresher)

About the Role:

This entry-level position is designed for newly qualified Chartered Accountants who are seeking to build a career in Statutory Audit. You will work closely with senior audit professionals, gaining hands-on experience in examining a company's financial records to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and accounting standards. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop a strong foundation in audit practices while contributing to the overall audit process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing statutory audit assignments under the guidance of senior auditors.
  • Conduct fieldwork to gather and analyze financial data and documentation from clients.
  • Verify the accuracy and integrity of financial records and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, including Indian GAAP, IFRS, and Ind AS.
  • Perform testing of internal controls and identify potential areas of risk or non-compliance.
  • Prepare working papers and documentation to support audit findings and conclusions.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to obtain necessary information and resolve audit issues.
  • Support in the preparation of draft audit reports and other necessary deliverables.
  • Stay updated on current accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory changes.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant qualification.
  • A solid understanding of Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
  • Proficiency in accounting principles and auditing procedures.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is a plus
