The SVP of Human Resources will serve as a strategic HR leader responsible for shaping and driving HR initiatives across all the manufacturing sites, R&D locations and offices of the organization both, domestically and internationally. This role will support a dynamic and science-driven workforce by developing talent strategies, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The SVP will be a key partner to the CHRO along with Promoters and contribute to the companys growth, innovation, and operational excellence along with spearheading Human Resource function for approx. 10,000+ employees spread across Manufacturing, R&D, Domestic Sales and Emerging markets, Distribution, Training academy and CSR.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Vision & Leadership: Design and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals in a highly regulated, scientific environment. Serve as a key member of the executive team contributing to overall business strategy. Lead initiatives in manufacturing, R&D, workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational development.
• Industrial Relations expertise across the country as well as overseas. Plan and execute strategies for exponential business growth, transforming existing legacy and practices Establish harmonious relations with the All-India Unions & try creating union free field force organisation. Tactful in dealing with VRS situations and strengthen IR committee.
• Talent Management & Development: Implement career and succession planning for key leadership roles through pipeline and high potential programs. Develop competency and skill-building initiatives through a Skill Development Scheme. Develop robust on-boarding, training, and career development programs. Foster leadership development and performance management.
• Culture & Employee Engagement: Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and compliance. Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Drive employee engagement and retention strategies.
• HR Operations & Complianc: Ensure HR policies and procedures align with FDA, EMA, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards. Oversee employee relations, compensation, and benefits. Monitor HR metrics and ensure data-driven decision-making.
• Change Management: Lead HR integration during mergers, acquisitions, or expansions. Support change management efforts during organisational transitions or restructuring. Qualifications:
• Masters degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sector.
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance around R&D, Manufacturing space.
• Proven track record in strategic HR planning, talent management, and organizational development.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Experience
