Reporting to: Global HSSEL Lead
Location: Bangalore, India
Work Arrangement: On-Site at Capital Park Troy Building, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, with 8 hours per week work from home flexibility to attend global meetings. 10% regional travel.
Position Overview
The HSSE Regional Specialist provides dedicated support for Health, Safety, Security & Environment operations across South Asia and APAC regions. This role focuses on administrative support, contractor management, compliance documentation, and regional coordination to enhance overall HSSE program effectiveness and ensure regulatory compliance within JLL's scope of work.
Key Responsibilities
Regional HSSE Operations Support (50% of time)
Support daily HSSE operations across South Asia region, provide leadership for HSSE management systems and compliance programs at Client sites
Manage contractor HSSE onboarding and work authorizations using Smartsheet, Corrigo, or recommended HSSE software
Oversee SDS management across South Asia and APAC regions
Coordinate permits and hazard controls documentation
Conduct compliance monitoring and reporting activities
Evaluate safety, health, and environmental hazards within JLL's operational scope Implement qualification programs for JLL service partners at Client locations
Drive initiatives to foster a strong HSSE culture
Manage high-risk work situations
Administrative and Learning Support (20% of time)
Serve as Account Learning Administrator for global team
Maintain global training matrix and track contractor hours
Support document control processes and general administrative functions
Create and manage HSSE dashboards and reporting tools
Provide communications support and conduct research as required
Strategic Support (30% of time)
Assist Regional HSSE Lead with South Asia and APAC responsibilities
Support HSSE goals activities and compliance programs
Participate in incident reporting and corrective action implementation
Contribute to HSSE culture initiatives and performance improvement projects
Professional Relationships
Internal: Global HSSE Lead, Regional HSSE Lead, JLL Site Teams, Account Personnel
Client: Synopsys HSSE Team and Facilities Management
External: JLL Service Partners and Contractors
Requirements
Post-secondary education in safety management or related field
Minimum 1 year of experience in HSSE operations or compliance
Strong English-speaking and written communication skills
Willingness to learn and proficiency in Smartsheet and other digital management tools
Proficiency with word processing, database applications, and reporting software
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-regional environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
JLL internal tools, including AI
Ability to conduct indoor and outdoor inspections to verify program compliance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with contractor management and onboarding processes
Familiarity with HSSE compliance requirements in South Asia markets
Knowledge of environmental and occupational health regulations
Experience with dashboard creation and data management tools
