Position: Purchase Executive/Senior Executive

Company: Pharma Formulation Company (Export-Oriented)

Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Purchase Executive/Senior Executive to join our team, focusing on procurement within the pharmaceutical formulation sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmaceutical procurement and exhibit the ability to engage effectively with suppliers to ensure the timely acquisition of materials and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Expertise:

  2. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging, and spare parts.

  3. Engage with existing and potential suppliers to solicit inquiries and quotations.

  4. Negotiate favourable pricing to facilitate the efficient procurement of goods and maintain optimal stock levels.

  5. Vendor Management:

  6. Qualify new vendors and nurture relationships with current suppliers.

  7. Coordinate updates on forecasts, manage purchase orders, and oversee delivery schedules.

  8. Facilitate invoicing processes and logistics, serving as the primary point of contact for operational matters with both suppliers and internal departments.

  9. Supplier and Category Management:

  10. Support supplier and category management initiatives, maintaining accurate product information.

  11. Raise purchase orders and ensure timely delivery in accordance with operational requirements.

  12. Quality Assurance:

  13. Address the handling of rejected materials, interacting with vendors to improve quality outcomes.

  14. Conduct vendor audits, ensuring compliance and maintaining detailed records.

  15. Procurement of Finished Pharmaceuticals:

  16. Manage the timely procurement of finished pharmaceutical products from external manufacturers, aligning with inventory targets.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical procurement, preferably within a formulation setting.

  • Proficient in ERP systems and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Strong attention to detail accompanied by excellent organizational skills.
