Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented FMCG Sales Head to lead our B2C sales function across Pan India markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving sales, managing large distribution networks, and handling dealer/distributor relationships for snacks, beverages, culinary essentials, and kitchen products. This individual will be responsible for building robust go-to-market strategies, ensuring revenue growth, and expanding retail reach across urban and rural markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership: Drive topline and bottom-line growth by planning and implementing sales strategies across India.
Dealer & Distributor Management:
Build, nurture, and expand distributor and dealer networks nationwide.
Negotiate trade terms, monitor distributor ROI, and ensure efficient distribution coverage.
Business Development: Identify new market opportunities, channels, and partnerships for expansion.
Category Focus: Establish strong market presence in snacks, beverages, culinary products, and kitchen items.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate zonal/regional sales managers and ensure high performance across the sales hierarchy.
Go-to-Market Strategy: Design effective GTM models for urban, semi-urban, and rural markets.
Market Intelligence: Track competitor activities, market trends, and consumer insights to drive innovation and execution.
Execution Excellence: Ensure product availability, visibility, and placement in general trade, modern trade, and e-commerce.
Sales Operations: Manage sales forecasting, P&L responsibility, budgeting, and reporting to leadership.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong expertise in FMCG/B2C channel sales with exposure to Pan India operations.
Deep understanding of distribution management, dealer networks, and channel expansion.
Proven success in scaling snacks & beverages category and familiarity with culinary/kitchen products.
Excellent negotiation, leadership, and people management skills.
Strong business acumen with ability to translate strategy into execution.
Proficiency in analysing sales data and developing actionable insights.
Qualification & Experience:
MBA or any graduation .
Minimum 10–15 years of experience in FMCG Sales with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Experience in leading Pan India distribution networks with strong dealer/distributor management.
Exposure to both general trade & modern trade, with added benefit if having handled HORECA/Institutional sales.
