Role Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This entry-level role is perfect for someone looking to launch their accounting career and will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining financial records, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable (invoices, payments, receipts).
  • Perform bank reconciliations and credit card statement reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain and update the general ledger.
  • Prepare and submit journal entries.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related record-keeping.
  • Help with the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations.
  • Support senior accountants and the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs a plus).
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is advantageous.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
