Job Title

The Adviser – Devops  at Fiserv plays a crucial role in spearheading the development and implementation of scalable CI/CD processes and strategies across various product teams. This position combines expertise in CI/CD engineering with architectural responsibilities, ensuring the alignment of technical solutions with enterprise standards and best practices. The Adviser  and mentors teams, collaborates closely with product development teams and architects, and enhances software supply chain security while optimizing delivery workflows.

What You Will Do:

• Lead the design and implementation of Secure Software Supply Chain Strategies and controls that ensure robust continuous integration and deployment mechanisms.
• Guide development teams in architectural decision-making and provide technical mentorship to drive excellence in continuous integration and continuous deployment practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, engineering, and architecture, to drive improvements and standardization in CI/CD practices.
• Oversee the integration and operational support of CI/CD tools, ensuring timely enhancements, vulnerability management, and platform upgrades.
• Define and enforce best practices for CI/CD pipeline development to ensure efficiency, security, and compliance.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to the CI/CD processes, acting as a point of escalation for complex technical challenges.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of CI/CD processes, tools, and workflows using Confluence to ensure team alignment and knowledge sharing
• Ensure architectural integrity and scalability of CI/CD implementations across product teams
• Participate in architectural reviews and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise architectural goals
• Contribute to architectural roadmaps and strategies related to CI/CD practices

  What You Will Need to Have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience in designing and implementing enterprise-class CI/CD tools and systems.
• Proven experience in architecting and designing scalable CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure
• Understanding of networking, security, and compliance considerations in CI/CD environments.
• Proven experience with development technologies such as Python, Bash Scripting, and PowerShell; strong familiarity with public/private cloud environments (AWS).
• Expertise in automation and CI tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab etc.
• Work experience in vulnerability analysis tools like Wiz/Trivy, static analysis tools like Sonatype/SonarQube, and security analysis tools like Fortify; familiarity with DevSecOps strategies (DAST/SAST).
• Strong background in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), deployment methodologies, onboarding, QA processes, performance tuning, and source code management using GITLAB.
• Experience in implementing and supporting Nexus Repository Management.

What Would Be Great to Have:

• 4+ years of experience in the financial services industry or another highly regulated industry.
• Knowledge of automation and configuration management tools like Salt, Ansible, etc.
• Proven track record of managing multiple technology projects and teams successfully and simultaneously.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
