Advisor, Systems Engineering

About your role:
At Fiserv, we are dedicated to providing exceptional service and support to our clients. As a Manager Application Support II, you will lead a team of Monitoring (MAVS) to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of critical business applications. Your role will involve overseeing the troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues, implementing improvements, and collaborating with various teams to enhance application performance and reliability.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and manage a team of support analysts to provide expert-level support for business applications.

  • Monitor application performance and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability.

  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of support activities and procedures.

  • Improving MTTA & MTTR – A dedicated manager will provide strategic oversight to identify gaps in observability tooling and processes, thereby reducing MTTA and MTTR. This directly translates to higher system reliability, improved SLA`s and better user experience.

  • A strong leadership focus is required to build and execute a roadmap to reduce customer called incidents through enhanced detection, better alert hygiene and more intelligent observability..

  • Need to represent the team in cross functional discussions, advocate for observability best practices and align efforts with broader business objectives

  • Provide mentorship and training to team members.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure seamless application support.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 12+ years of experience in application support

  • Experience working on Splunk, Dynatrace and Moogsoft

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools

  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices

  • Experience with automation and scripting languages
