JOB DESCRIPTIONS FOR LOGISTIC HEAD

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Increase productivity in managing and supervising all logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and customs clearance. Implementation of WMS and TMS.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. This includes the strategic implementation and utilization of 3rd-Party Logistics (3PL) providers to optimize our supply chain network. 4th-Party Logistics (4PL), and potentially 5th-Party Logistics (5PL) will be another priority.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, providing tailored logistics solutions and gathering new clients.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Oversee relationships with transporters, and other service providers to ensure most competitive rates and reliable service.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all operations comply with SOP and statutory regulations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of logistics operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges and shipment delays within 24 hours.
  • Accounts & Audit: All reports must tally with final accounts before being presented, to deploy and manage team of internal auditors.
  • IT: Must be able to bring, deploy, develop and improve new IT packages to boost operational efficiency and productivity.
