Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Head for Press Tools who can lead a team of tool designers, oversee the design and development of high-precision press tools (progressive, compound, and stage tools), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative tooling solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design team in developing press tools for sheet metal components.

Plan and execute tool design strategies for new and existing projects.

Develop designs for progressive, compound, and single-stage tools using CAD software (AutoCAD,UG/NX, etc.).

Review and validate tool designs for manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency.

Coordinate with the production, toolroom, and quality teams to ensure successful tool trials and implementation.

Optimize existing tooling for productivity and tool life enhancement.

Create and maintain BOM, design documents, and technical reports.

Train and mentor junior design engineers.

Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Skills Required:-

Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software.

Strong knowledge of material behavior, tool steels, and machining processes.
