An Account Head (AP/AR) manages a company's money flow by overseeing both Accounts Payable (AP) (paying vendors, invoices, expenses) and Accounts Receivable (AR) (collecting from customers, invoicing, managing debtors), ensuring accuracy, timely processing, strong vendor/client relations, cash flow optimization, and financial compliance through team leadership and process improvement for overall financial health. Key Responsibilities (AP & AR Combined)

  • Process Management: Oversee daily operations for AP (invoices, payments, expense reports) and AR (customer invoicing, collections, cash application).
  • Financial Accuracy: Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately, coded correctly, and reconciled regularly, adhering to policies and regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, train, and provide guidance to AP/AR staff, fostering a productive environment.
  • Cash Flow Optimization: Implement efficient processes to improve payment cycles and manage working capital effectively.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare financial reports, assist with month-end closing, and support audits.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of AP/AR functions.

Core AP Duties

  • Review & process vendor invoices, expense reports.
  • Manage vendor payments (checks, ACH, wires).
  • Reconcile vendor statements & resolve discrepancies.

Core AR Duties

  • Issue customer invoices.
  • Monitor and manage customer accounts/debtors.
  • Follow up on overdue payments.

Ideal Skills & Qualifications

  • Masters/ MBA in Finance . Strong accounting knowledge, detail orientation, communication skills. Expert with Tally software.
  • Proficiency with accounting software. & Excel.
  • Leadership, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40, ₹70,748.34 per month
