Lead- Cybersecurity

Role Overview:

The Lead Cybersecurity will be responsible for defining, implementing, and governing the cybersecurity strategy for JSW Motors across IT and OT (operational technology) landscapes. This role will safeguard enterprise applications, data, plant systems, and connected vehicle/digital platforms against cyber threats, ensuring compliance with global standards. The incumbent will work closely with the Plant IT Head, CDIO, and JSW Group Cybersecurity to establish a robust security posture, incident response readiness, and cyber resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity Strategy & Governance

  • Define and implement the enterprise cybersecurity framework aligned with JSW Motors and JSW Group policies.
  • Develop and enforce security standards for IT, OT, and cloud environments.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory norms (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.).

Operational Security Management

  • Monitor, detect, and respond to cyber incidents through SOC and security tools.
  • Govern identity and access management, network security, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
  • Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical systems.

OT & Plant Security

  • Secure MES, SCADA, PLC, and connected factory systems against OT-specific threats.
  • Establish protocols for IT-OT integration security and industrial IoT devices.
  • Conduct regular penetration testing and cyber drills for plant environments.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Lead risk assessments, audits, and gap remediation for cybersecurity.
  • Ensure vendor and partner compliance with cybersecurity standards.
  • Provide regular dashboards and updates to CDIO and Plant IT Head on risk posture.

Leadership & Awareness

  • Build cybersecurity capability within the IT team.
  • Drive awareness and training programs across employees to strengthen the human firewall.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.E./B.Tech in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent; CISM/CISSP/CISA certifications preferred.
  • 12-15 years of experience in IT/OT cybersecurity, including SOC, SIEM, and incident response.
  • Hands-on expertise in securing ERP, MES, IoT, and cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of OT cybersecurity for manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience in leading enterprise-wide security programs and compliance audits.
