Job Title: Senior Coordinator Academics (Science)

Location: Gurugram

Reporting To: Principal

Position Type: Full-time, Senior Academic Leadership

Job Purpose

The Senior Coordinator will oversee academic planning, curriculum implementation, and teacher mentoring for science subjects across middle and senior school. This role requires strong instructional leadership, curriculum expertise, and administrative capabilities to enhance teaching-learning quality and student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

  • Oversee the planning and delivery of the Science curriculum (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Science).
  • Align curriculum with NEP 2020, CBSE/ICSE/IB (as applicable) guidelines and school vision.
  • Review and monitor lesson plans, assessment plans, and learning outcomes.

Teacher Development & Supervision

  • Mentor, guide, and evaluate Science faculty members regularly.
  • Organise and lead professional development programs, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative teaching culture.

Student Development

  • Monitor student performance in Science subjects; plan remedial and enrichment programs.
  • Promote participation in science fairs, Olympiads, exhibitions, and project-based learning.
  • Encourage inquiry-based and experiential learning approaches.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and school initiatives.
  • Liaise with educational boards and external agencies as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • B.Ed / M.Ed preferred.
  • 8+ years of teaching experience with at least 23 years in a leadership or coordinator role.
  • Strong understanding of modern pedagogical methods, assessment systems, and curriculum design.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
